Visiting for the First Time

We look forward to meeting you at Sovereign Grace Chapel and hope you may find answers to some of your questions here.

Is there anything for my children?

During our regular Sunday services childcare is provided for your children newborn to 2 years old.  Our Sunday School classes offer excellent Bible teaching and discussion for children ages 3 through high school.

We also have a youth group which meets on Tuesday evenings for children in grades 7-12.  For more information regarding these groups see our Ministries page.

What time and how long are your services?

Our regular Sunday mornings start with Sunday School, for all ages, at 9:30 a.m. There is a 15 minute break before worship service, which begins at 10:45 and lasts about an hour and a half.

What happens on a typical Sunday morning?

Our Sunday mornings are a wonderful time of worship, learning, and fellowship. The worship music is led by a small team of musicians and singers who use a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs to lead in praise and worship. We enjoy times of prayer, the reading of God's Word and the expository preaching of the gospel by our pastor and teaching elder or occasionally by another gifted teacher. Please feel free to humbly express yourself in worship by lifting your hands or clapping if you feel led to do so.

Coffee and light refreshements are typically available after our worship service.

How should I dress?

Sovereign Grace Chapel is a chuch with a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Having no cultural or economic standards to which we conform, you will be welcomed whether you dress casually or formally.

The Parables

Join us at 9:30 Sunday morning as we learn the true meaning of Jesus' parables.

______________

"The battle of the flesh is won or lost in the mind."

'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.'

                  ~Romans 12:2
